Course Overview:
The AHA BLS + First Aid Combo Course combines the American Heart Association’s Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid training into one comprehensive program. This class is ideal for emergency responders and entry-level firefighters who need both medical and trauma care skills for real-world emergencies. It covers high-quality CPR, AED use, and team-based resuscitation, along with essential first aid techniques for bleeding, burns, fractures, and other common injuries. This course meets the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy requirements for those entering Firefighter Essentials programs.
What You’ll Learn:

High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
Proper use of an AED in cardiac emergencies
Bag-mask ventilation and two-rescuer team coordination
Recognition and response to respiratory and cardiac arrest

Scene safety, patient assessment, and when to activate EMS
Course Options:

AHA BLS + First Aid Certification Course: This combined certification course meets both AHA and OSHA standards, fulfilling the medical training requirements for the PA State Fire Academy. Participants who successfully complete all components receive two separate AHA certification cards — one for Basic Life Support (BLS) and one for First Aid — each valid for two years
